#Learn2Play ★★★★ “Ambarsariya” (Fukrey) chords – Guitar Bollywood Lesson

2016-08-29

Ambarsariya by Sona Mohapatra, music by Ram Sampath. From the onset, sounds like a simple song, with the simplicity of the melody! But wait till you hear the chords carefully. Anything but simple. I would give it even more than 4-stars. Brilliant chords played on an acoustic guitar. This is probably the toughest song I have done as part of Guitar Bollywood yet. I have tried to work it out as much as possible, but I don't claim to have nailed it perfectly. Pls feel free to correct it.

#Learn2Play ★★★ “Har Kisiko Nahin Milta” (Boss) chords – Guitar Bollywood Lesson

2016-08-19

Har Kisiko Nahin Milta is a rock ballad, adapted from Kalyanji Anandji's song from 80s film Jaanbaz by Chirantan Bhatt. However, it has been given a fine soft rock makeover. Keeping the same (famous) chorusline, the verses are new. There are two versions, one duet by Arijit Singh and Neeti Mohan, and another solo by Nikhil D'Souza. This is a transcription of Nikhil's version, which in my opinion sounds so much better!

Credits:
Song-Har Kisiko Nahin Milta
Film-Boss
Lyrics-Manoj Yadav
Singer-Nikhil D'Souza
Music-Chirantan Bhatt

Ease of playing: ★★★☆☆ (1: Easiest, 5: Toughest)

#Learn2Play ★★ “Ikk Kudi” (Udta Punjab) chords – Guitar Bollywood lesson

Ikk Kudi (Udta Punjab) - marks the arrival of the Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh in Bollywood. Its a very simple tune, but a soulful song. There are two more versions of the song! All three songs are in diff scale. So you can translate.

This version of the song is in Bb, its much easier to play with capo on first fret, which is what I have done.

I dedicate this song to one of my former students and a rising child artist from San Francisco Bay Area, Amruta, who loves to play this on guitar and sing.

Song Name - Ikk Kudi - Reprised Version
Movie - Udta Punjab
Music Composer - Amit Trivedi
Singer - Diljit Dosanjh
Lyrics - Late Shri Shiv Kumar Batalvi

Ease of playing: ★★☆☆☆ (1: Easiest, 5: Toughest)

#Learn2Play ★★★ “Aashiyan” “Itti si hasee” (Barfi) chords – Guitar Bollywood lesson

2016-08-05

Aashiyan (Barfi) is probably one of the sweetest songs to come in any recent films. Sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Nikhil Paul George, this song received many awards, including debit awards for Nikhil Paul George. Composed by Pritam, the song is just the perfect song to play on an acoustic guitar. There is a male version (sung by Nikhil) as well, but the chords remain the same.

As per the feel of the song, try to get the choppy rhythm work by left hand muting, so you can sync up with the rhythm.
