Hamari Adhuri Kahani (title song) is a beautiful tune to play on guitar, and sing! Very soulful! There are a lot of chords which probably makes the song little harder to remember and sing. But if you follow the melody, it is not that hard. Amazing composition by Jeet Gannguli. I feel Jeet and Arijit are on a mission to create some songs that will outlive both us and them!

India Against Lip-Sync

This is something I feel strongly about. Watched #saregamapa2016 final today. It was apparent that many of the singers (not only contestants, even the well known singers) were actually not singing. #SaReGaMaPa is probably the best singing talent show in the country. It pains me to see this level lip-syncing used for such a respectable show. Aren't these singers capable of singing a couple of songs live? Why do we do this? Do the singers feel good about it? This was a huge show with 25,000people enjoying it live (recorded few days ago) and millions enjoying at home. Yeh Tumhari Meri Baatein from the legendary movie, Rock on! is a beautiful tune composed by trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy (SEL). Beautifully sung by Dominique Cerejo, the song uses a guitar riff. Even though the riff is used almost over 80% of the song, yet you cannot get bored. Thanks to the melody, harmony!

Once you get how to play the guitar plucking part, rest of the song is fairly easy. The capo is on 3rd fret. So you play C like an A.

#Learn2Play ★★ “Janam Janam” (Dilwale) chords – Guitar Bollywood lesson

Janam Janam by Arijit Singh, from the film Dilwale is actually a very simple yet lovely song. Composed by Pritam, the entire song uses pretty much one sequence. We have seen that sequence, when we did Gerua. Its the opening sequence of that song. Pritam used the same sequence for this entire song. That makes the song super easy.

Playing tips: Try to use plucking in the quieter parts and full chords otherwise, to create the dynamics of the song.

Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin (Agneepath) - The year this song released, swept away almost all music awards. This is by far one of the best ever song sung by Sonu Nigam, and composed by Ajay Atul. The expression part of the song is unparalleled in any Bollywood song.

The song is best played on a piano actually, here, as you can see, the guitar is played more like a Piano. Lots of plucking, hardly any full chords. However, you need to switch to full chords playing during the chorus.
