The power of Imagination: Ehsaan Noorani TEDx talk

Ehsaan Noorani comes across as one of the most down-to-earth, warm-hearted, logical, grounded person, let alone a very creative and successful music director. In this recent TEDx talk at Bangalore, he shares his thoughts about power of imagination.  

We are all in an information age, where we have way too much information available to us at our fingertips. So do our children grow up in an environment of plenty. The instant gratification is a by-product of the plenty. One of the vivid memories of my childhood I have is the bus or train rides. I didn't have any device with me back then. So I just looked thru the window! Passing roads, other trains, motorcycles, cities, villages, sky, forest, river, bridges! I just imagined, made stories in my mind. The stories might have melted as soon as I reached my destination. But I just imagined a myriad of things.  

The power imagination that has led Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy to have composed an album like Dil Chahta Hai in straight 3 days. I have read elsewhere, they did the same for the music of one of my fav albums Rock On straight in 5 days. The examples of power of imagination and its by-product, Creativity are countless.
