Hope this is taken in right spirit and doesn't offend anyone. I had to say this because I feel strongly about it. I have written about it here earlier as well.  

Its not always the fault of the singers to be honest. Sometimes, they are pressurized by the organizers to do a flashy show! The flash is all that organizers want - they don't want to deal with the hassle of the live music logistics. But I think the ultimate power is in our hand, we the listeners. I wish we as audience need to grow as well, identify the difference between live, minus track performances, and Karaoke shows! If we demand for the artists we admire to sing live, no organizers can put up a pre-recorded show. When you watch the so-called live awards shows, almost all the performances there are pre-recorded.  

Ultimately, Karma is a beach! You try to pull a fake one, then when Karma pulls a fake one on you, you can't complain.
